Tomorrow I fly back to England for a final visit with my family before I head home. It is crazy to think that 49 days ago I arrived in Biarritz, France to begin my crazy and amazing adventure. The time has flown by.
It was sad leaving my friends in Oliva, I had such an amazing time with them and at Bar Amigos. Chris and Lloyd are two of the most amazing human beings and I am so grateful for them. I will be back!!
I have tried to see as much as possible in my two days visiting Valencia. The beaches are of course amazing and I was surprised to see surfers but the tiny wind waves were not enticing enough for me to rent a board. Modern and Old Valencia blend seamlessly and navigating the city is easy. The best mode of transportation is by bicycle as the bike paths are safe and well marked. Bike paths also run through the beautiful Turia Gardens which were built on an old riverbed and over 8km in length. The gardens run through the city providing access to many of the amazing museums, monuments and aquarium. With multiple children’s play areas, fountains, seating areas, exercise equipment and large grassy areas it is frequented by tourists and locals alike and I feel is the heart of this truly magical city.
